Because leaving Michigan would mean that they found a job and are able to afford their expenses. If they stay in Michigan without a job they won’t help Michigan they would just put the state in a deeper hole since they would have to collect some kind of unemployment to pay their financial expenses. For example the neighbor next door, had to leave and go in a different state because in Michigan he and his wife were without a job, I felt very bad when I saw a monster truck in front of their house, I asked why they were leaving and very disappointed that he had to leave his life behind in a short notice he answered that its either to leave or stay here and lose everything. I agree that it would be best for all of us that are in the same position as my neighbor to go to other places and find hope.
